Jacquie's Obituary
Jacquie A. Sewell, aged 76, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Born on July 26, 1948, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Rex L. Darrow and Betty A. (Rector) Darrow. Jacquie was a 1966 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School.
On February 23, 1968, she married Thomas W. Sewell in Lafayette, who survives her. Jacquie dedicated many years of her career as a bank teller and later as a business manager in the medical field. She was known for her culinary skills, her enthusiasm for family sporting events, and her avid support for Purdue, the Chicago Bears, and the Cubs. Above all, Jacquie treasured the moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas, her children Tracy Campbell and Leslie (Mark) Persley, both of Lafayette, her brother Douglas (Melody) Darrow of Monticello, and her sisters Debra (Cyd) Darrow and Kristi Darrow, both of Lafayette. Niece and nephews, Daniel (Margaret) Darrow of Alaska, David Darrow of Lafayette, and Devon (Mason) McTeer of California. Jacquie's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Evan, Alex (Josh), Reid, Grace, Kaison, and Camryn, and her great-grandchildren, Crawford and Rex.
Jacquie was preceded in death by her parents. Private services will be held at a later date to honor her memory.
