James' Obituary
James Will, 90, of Brook, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at St. Mary Healthcare Center of Lafayette. He was born February 18, 1933 in Chicago to the late Ferdinand and Florence (Ott) Will.
James served in the United States Army specializing in artillery from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1955. His marriage was to Lana Ray and she survives him.
He worked for Inland Steel Co. of East Chicago until his retirement in 1994 after 30 years. James was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed reading, sudoku puzzles, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife are children, Robert (Tena) Will of Brook, Mary Schoon of Morocco, and Lisa (Mike) Hurd of Crown Point; 5 grandchildren, Sara and Jamie Will, A.J. Schoon, Rachel Karge, and Michael Hurd.
Preceding him in death along with his parents is granddaughter, Alana Schoon and grandson, Joseph Vicari.
A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
