Jay C. Venters, age 56, of Yeoman, Indiana, lost his 2 year battle with cancer on May 10, 2021. He peacefully passed away with his children and caregiver, mother of his children, Melissa Venters, by his side.
Jay was a self-taught handyman by trade. He took pride in his work and family. He was a generous man who, despite having lived a modest life, was always ready and genuinely eager to give neighbors or family members a helping hand. He was always there when needed.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Veronica and Mike Bowling; daughter, Brittany E. Venters-Carr; son, Zachary Jay Venters; grandchildren, Keegan, Alex, Reece, Benjamin & Christopher. Preceded in death by his mother, Mary.
Jay never liked to be the center of attention, per his wishes there will be no service. Those who wish to gather in memory of Jay are welcome to release balloons and raise a glass at 6 pm on May 22, 2021 at the American Legion, 405 E. Washington St., Monticello, IN.
