Jim D. Wall

James Dee “Jim” Wall, 75, of Brookston, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at IU Health Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis.

He was born February 1, 1947 in Ash Grove to the late Eventus and Ruby (Atwood) Wall. Jim was a 1965 graduate of Battle Ground High School.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1968. His marriage of 54 years was to Blanche Morgan on June 17, 1967 and she survives.

Jim was a member of the National Rifle Association, American Legion Post 251, Lyons Club, Wildcat Valley Rifle & Pistol Club, and Brookston United Methodist Church. He was employed with the Eli Lilly Company as a Chemical Operator for 30 years until his retirement.

Jim enjoyed sport shooting, fishing, woodworking, blacksmithing, reading, and tending to his garden and lawn.

Surviving along with his wife are their two children, James Daniel Wall (wife: Dee) of Dallas, TX and Kimberly Ruby Morehouse of Sharon, SC. Siblings, Janice Gay Sulfridge of Brookston, IN, Hazel Patricia McGinnis (husband: Tom) of West Lafayette, IN, Anita Kay Johnson (husband: Jim) of Crocker, MD, and Anthony Wayne Wall of Independence, IN. Grandchildren, Nathan Charles Wall of Prosper, TX, Sierra Haney of Dallas, TX, and Walter Scott Morehouse of Sharon, SC. James is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death along with his father and mother are four brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 10 AM (EDT) until the time of Funeral Service 12 PM (EDT) Monday, May 23, 2022 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Pastor Karen Bray of the Brookston United Methodist Church to officiate. Interment with military honors to follow in Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
