John J. Chomer, 54, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 due to injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born November 15, 1966 in Chicago, IL to the late Robert and Doris (Kessler) Chomer.
His marriage was to Sherry George; they would later divorce.
John was a lead technician working at several locations throughout the area. He enjoyed spending time riding his motorcycle, boating and fishing, and watching football.
He is survived by his children, Kayla (John McConville) Chomer of Lafayette, John Chomer II of Lafayette, Joseph (Anna Smeltz) Chomer of Lafayette, James Chomer of Lafayette and Haley Chomer of Illinois. Siblings, Robert Chomer, Thomas Chomer, and Kelly Chomer all of Illinois. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Emmett, Natalie, Autumn, Elliot, and Mikey Jr.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother.
