Joseph E. Brissey, 76, of Brookston, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at St. Anthony Health Care of Lafayette. He was born October 10, 1945 in Lafayette to the late James Richard (Dick) Parsons and Gertrude (Patterson) Parsons.
His marriage was to Emma Louise Parker on June 17, 1963 and she survives.
Joseph worked for Tippecanoe Tire, Sears, Fairfield Manufacturing for 14 years and eventually retired from Lafayette Venetian Blind as night supervisor in the shutters department. He enjoyed fishing, western movies, spending time with family, and taking trips to Four Winds Casino in Michigan.
Surviving along with his wife Emma, are their daughters, Denise (Brian Herrin) Richards of Lafayette and Jodie (Ray) Anderson of Texas. Siblings, Jim (Hilda) Brissey, Richard (Patti) Parsons, Robert Parsons, Virginia (David) Edwards, Brenda (Ron) Niccum, Mary Neal, and Connie Graves. Joseph is also survived by his granddaughter, Breann Richards of Brookston and great-granddaughters, Sophia Richards and Alexis Van.
Preceding him in death along with his parents is a brother, Bobby Lee Brissey; sisters-in-law, Carole Brissey and Janice Brissey.
Per Joseph’s wishes, a private interment will be held at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens of West Lafayette at a later date.
