Judith Ann Dolick

August 02, 1942 - September 01, 2023

Judith Ann Dolick, 81, of Lafayette, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, at IU Arnett Hospital of Lafayette.

She was born August 2, 1942 in East Chicago, Indiana to the late Joseph and Sadie (Milligan) Kaply.  Judy was a 1961 graduate of Royal Center High School.

A farmer’s daughter, Judy knew the value of being early to rise and hard work; the family joke was that the washer was always running.

Judy met a Wolcott farm boy and the love of her life, Jerry Dolick, while working for Alloy Rod in Monticello.  The couple was married July 27, 1990 at the Canterbury Wooding Chapel in Las Vegas; he survives.

Judy was an excellent homemaker and cook.  She never met a stranger and always enjoyed a good conversation.  Judy loved her daily mile long walks, word puzzles and church at St. James Lutheran Church of Reynolds on Sundays.  She enjoyed professional basketball and football, especially Peyton Manning and the Colts and Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.  Judy also liked watching WWE wrestling on television.  Even through her battle with cancer, Judy never complained, she was always more concerned about the needs of Jerry and others.

Surviving with her husband Jerry are her siblings, Beverly Knill, Barbara Roth, Sharron Hoover, William Kaply, Richard Kaply, Charles “Chuck” Kaply, and Carol Sue Dutchess.

Preceding her in death with her parents are three brothers, Robert, Gary and Gerald Kaply.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2023, at St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds; Rev. Andrew Keller to officiate.  Interment to follow in Riverview Cemetery of Monticello.
