Judith's Obituary
Judith A. Phillips, 80, of Delphi, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.
Judy was born November 27, 1942, in Brookston to the late Dale & Dorothy I. (Grandstaff) Dyer. Judy graduated from Brookston High School class of 1960.
Her marriage was to William H. Phillips Sr. whom she later divorced.
Judy worked for Peters Revington in Delphi for 30 years retiring in 2005. Judy also owned her own upholstery shop from her home for many years. She also worked briefly for Bryan Manufacturing in Monticello. Judy was also a member of the Friendship Club in Monticello.
Judy enjoyed crocheting blankets for family, bingo, yard sales, flea markets, playing card games on her computer and Elvis. She also enjoyed sharing oatmeal cream pies with her grand-dog, Lilly. More than all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, William Phillips Jr. of Delphi, Joyce Phillips of West Lafayette and Dora Willis (husband: Robert) of Delphi. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
Preceding her in death with her parents are brothers, James and David "Fab" Dyer; her sister, Carolyn Stokes (husband: Fred) a brother-in-law, William "Bill" Rodenbarger; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Phillips and a nephew, James "Michael" Dyer.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2022, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston; Pastor Bruce Hankins to officiate. Interment to follow in the Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family to help defray the future cost of a headstone.
