Judy Ann Mitchell

Judy Ann Mitchell, 75, of Remington, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. She was born November 18, 1946 in Rensselaer to the late Bill and Ruby (Berg) Sheffer. Judy was a 1964 graduate of Rensselaer High School.

Her marriage was to Ed C. Mitchell in 1966 and they would later divorce.

Judy worked as secretary and bookkeeper for the Rensselaer Republican for 20 years, St. Joseph College Library for several years, and Purdue University in the Math Department for 13 years. She enjoyed bowling leagues, camping, spending time with family and played the accordion.

She is survived by her two children, Tina (Joe) Lemmons of Lafayette and Ed (Sheila) Mitchell of Remington. Grandchildren, Tim (Lacie) Wheeler, Megan (Devin) Bell, Stephanie Mitchell, and Antoinette (David) Warren. Great-grandchildren, Savanna, Kaydence, Teagan, Noah, Ivy, and Carson.

Preceding her in death along with her parents is a great-grandson, Parker Bell.

Per Judy’s wishes, no funeral services will be held.
