Karon's Obituary
Karon J. (Zarse) Kelly, age 81, of West Lafayette, passed away on April 6, 2024.
She was born on August 14, 1942 in Chalmers to the late Leonard Zarse and Audrey (Criswell) Zarse. She was a 1960 graduate of Chalmers High School. On August 13, 1961, Karon married Max Kelly. Karon partnered with Max a lifetime of farming in the area. Max passed away on October 17, 2019.
Karon is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Sutton (husband: Phil) of Bloomington, IN and sister, Sharon Faker of Southern Pines, NC. She also has several surviving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, sister Marleene Wallace and brother Butch Zarse.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. EST until the time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. EST, on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Interment will immediately follow funeral service at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum in West Lafayette.
In lieu of floral arrangements, the family would like contributions to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Karon’s honor.
