Kathryn's Obituary
Kathryn Jane Marlatt, 64, of Brookston, Indiana passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023 peacefully in her sleep.
She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 22, 1957 to Frederick Mason and Patricia Watson, who preceded her in death. Kathy graduated from Cathedral High School, Vincennes University, and Indiana State University.
Her marriage of 37 years was to John Terry Marlatt on May 27, 1978 in Indianapolis, Indiana. John preceded her in death on August 26, 2015.
Kathy is survived by her son, Kyle, and daughter-in-law, Candice, and their children, Jackson, Reagan, Harper, and Emery; and her daughter, Jesah, and son-in-law, Colton, and their children Skylar and Tray. Also surviving is her brother, Paul Mason (wife: Nancy); 3 brothers-in-law’s, Donald, Richard (wife: Jean), and Lynn (wife: Donna); along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kathy was extremely proud of her family. She was a caring and compassionate mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She did her best to support her family in all aspects of life. She loved and influenced everyone she came in contact with and they in return loved her.
Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m., October 5, 2023, at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds.
