Kenneth A. Cox, 73, of Monticello, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Majestic Care in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born on December 26, 1951, to the late Richard D. and Bertie (Storey) Cox, Kenneth was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He had a passion for playing the guitar and singing gospel and country music, often being mistaken for Merle Haggard. Kenneth also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cherished the time spent with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; his son, Tim Ezra and wife Sandy of Brookston; his siblings, Mary Harris of Alabama, Jean Reed of Delphi, Judy Ingram of Delphi, Richard Cox of Delphi, and Bill Cox of Delphi; his grandchildren, Ethan Little of Boswell, Trisha Johnson of Michigan, Rhett Ezra of Fowler, and Breanna Ezra of Monticello; and his great-grandchildren, Lauren, Colsyn, Ollie, Mable, Waylon, and Lucy, and his past dogs, Pepper, Mitzi, Harley and current dog Sarah.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Steve Cox.
A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held at a later date, with arrangements handled by Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home.
