Kevin W. Jones

Kevin W. Jones, 65, of Remington, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Franciscan Health Hospital of Rensselaer. He was born March 31, 1957 in Lafayette to the late N. Wayne and Roselean (Jonas) Jones. Kevin was a 1975 graduate of North Montgomery High School.

His marriage was to the love of his life Sonja Masterson on January 6, 1979. Sonja preceded him in death on October 13, 2015.

Kevin drove a semi truck for several years working for various companies around the area. He worked 10 plus years for TRW of Lafayette and eventually retired. Kevin enjoyed working and staying busy, he most recently was a part time security officer for Allied Security at Advanced Auto Parts Distribution of Remington.

Kevin loved riding his motorcycle and listening to music. Several times, Kevin would travel and listen to music bands his friends were apart of.

He is survived by his children, Levi Jones of Monticello, Cynthia Jones of Remington, Sarah (Timothy) Schanlaub of Goodland, and Andrew Jones of Remington. Grandchildren, Skyler Cooper, Heather Cooper, Lillian Jones-Cobb, Victor Schanlaub, and Gabriel Schanlaub. Kevin is also survived by siblings, Kathy (Dennis) Phillips of Crawfordsville, Craig (Dee Dee) Jones of Linden, Brian (Laura) Jones of New Richmond, and brother-in-law, Danny Stone.

Preceding him in death along with his wife and parents is a sister, Cherry Stone.
