Laurene's Obituary
Laurene Mykrantz, 96, of Remington, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at White Oak Health Campus of Monticello.
She was born September 29, 1926 in Goodland, IN to the late William and Mary (Chwengel) Budde. Laurene was a graduate of Remington High School.
Her marriage was to Wallace E. Mykrantz on February 2, 1947 in Goodland at Trinity Lutheran Church. Wallace passed away in 1994.
Laurene was a Trust Officer with State Bank of Remington for several years until her retirement. She enjoyed crafting and summer weeks at Fountain Park Chautauqua with her family and friends. Most of all, Laurene cherished time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Dave (Jenny) Mykrantz of Fort Wayne, IN, Denny (Kayc) Mykrantz of Logansport, IN, Doug (Dawn) Mykrantz of Gaston, SC, and Don (Donna) Huffmaster of Batesville, IN. Grandchildren, Jonathan, Kara, Kelly, Kris, Elizabeth, Megan, Cassie, Bo, Daylan, and Matthew. Laurene is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death along with her husband and parents are 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
Friends may call from 10 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 12 PM (EST) Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington. Rev. David Meuller of Trinity Lutheran Church Goodland to officiate. Interment to follow in Egypt Cemetery, Rensselaer.
