Layla Grace Morgado

Layla Grace Morgado, 17, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at IU Health Hospital of Frankfort. She was born on September 10, 2007 in Lafayette to Mario and Brittany (Egan) Morgado. 

Layla loved listening to music, watching movies, and going to school. She cherished time with her family and attending Sunday services at Victory Christian Center.

Surviving along with her parents are her siblings, Ivan, Mariana, and Alyssia Morgado. Aunts and uncles, Tiffany (Isreal) Higareda, Patrick (April) Egan, and Heather (Shane) Harbolt. Maternal grandmother, Mary Egan and paternal grandmother, Maria Rodriguez. 

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joe (Gloria) Egan; paternal grandparents, Consoelo Rodriguez and Furtunato Dominguez. Layla is also preceded in death by her cousins, Estefania Higareda and Joshua Myers. 

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM (EST) until the time of funeral service 1:00 PM (EST) at Victory Christian Center (325 Burnetts Rd. West Lafayette, IN) on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery of Lafayette.
