Linda Lee Varner

Linda Varner, 67, of Monticello, passed away at 5:12 am, Thursday, August 22, 2024 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. 

She was born on April 25, 1957 in Harvey, Illinois to the late Lester and Loretta (Contois) Anderson. 

Linda graduated from Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, Illinois

Her marriage was to Michael Varner on August 18, 1984 at the Lutheran Church in South Holland, Illinois. 

Linda had worked as a bartender for over 30 years. 

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, brain teasers and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. 

Along with her husband, Michael, she is survived by sons Kevin Anderson of Monticello, Lou Varner (wife: Katie) of Valparaiso and Shawn Anderson of Lafayette; a daughter, Carie Faricelli (husband: Ryan) of Clevland, Tennessee; a brother, Rick Anderson (wife: Ann) of Alabama and six grandchildren, Lisa, Cassie, Dakota, Noah, Ava and Matthew. 

Linda is preceded in death by her grandson, JC Anderson and brother, Randy Anderson. 

Private family visitation will be held at the Fred L. Miller Memorial Chapel of the Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home  in Monticello, Indiana.

Interment will be held privately at Hughes Cemetery.
