Lois Jeanene Bower

January 27, 1937 - March 07, 2023

Lois Jeanene Bower was a beautiful daughter, wife, mother and friend to many. Jeanene was born January 27 1937, to Edith and Elwood McDaniel and was raised on a farm in Boswell, IN. She was the oldest of two children, having a younger sister, Donna Kay McDaniel.  Our heavenly father called Donna Kay when she was two years of age.  The loss of Donna Kay left a deep loss with Jeanene that she carried with her throughout her life.  One would have never known this about Jeanene unless you knew her.Jeanene married John L. Bower (Jack) in 1956.  He was the love of her life.  Together they had four children: Jackie, Glen, Sheryl and Karla.Jack passed away in October 2001.  His loss was incredibly difficult for her, a part of her went with him.  Shortly after his loss, she found comfort with a dog named Rocky.  He became her best companion.Jeanene also enjoyed coffee with friends at the Good Table whom she developed deep connections with.  These ladies were a gift to her.  She loved to go and make them laugh.  They enjoyed many mornings of laughter, love and support.Jeanene was quite the Euchre player.  She looked forward to playing weekly with her friends. She wore a shirt that read “I am the Right Bower”.  She loved her card friends and she loved to win. These lovely ladies took the game to her when she became home bound.  What a blessing it was for her. Jeanene loved people.  She enjoyed making people laugh.  This fun-happy loving woman was living the best years of her life and will carry these traits with her to those she has joined in heaven.Preceded in death by her husband John (Jack) Bower, her parents Elwood and Edith McDaniel.Jeanene is survived by her four children Jackie (Randy) Brock, IN, Glen Bower, AZ, Sheryl Bower, IN and Karla Bower (Mike D’Apice), CO.
