Lora Lynne Ferguson

Lora Lynne Ferguson, age 67, passed away peacefully at her home in Lafayette, Indiana in the early hours of January 20, 2025.

She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Ferguson; her three children, Rochelle Bramer, Matthew Burton, and Billie Jo Ferguson. Siblings, Laura Davenport, Denise McCord, Heather German, and Rev. Doug McCord; and many cherished grandchildren.

Lora was preceded in death by her parents, Doug McCord and Beverly Hall; her stepfather, Robert Hall; and her brothers, Keith and Roger Hall.

A graduate of Harrison High School in 1976, Lora went on to work for Landis & Gyr and Fairfield Manufacturing. Beyond her professional endeavors, she dedicated much of her time to nurturing children through her home daycare. Over the years, she cared for numerous children, creating a warm and supportive environment that left a lasting impact on many young lives.

With her quick wit, sharp tongue, and sassy sense of humor, Lora always kept everyone on their toes. But behind her spirited remarks was a heart full of love, pride, and unwavering support. It was clear to all who knew her that her love was endless, and that she took immense pride in her family. She will be dearly missed, and her legacy of tough love and genuine devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

Friends may call from 1:00 PM (EDT) until the time of funeral service 3:00 PM (EDT) Friday, January 24, 2025 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Interment to follow in Brookston Cemetery. Her brother, Rev. Doug McCord to officiate. If able to attend the services for Lora, the family request casual attire.
