Lorraine E. Sego

Lorraine E. Sego, 91, of West Lafayette, former resident of Kentland, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus of West Lafayette. Lorraine had resided at Cumberland Pointe for the last four years. She was born March 9, 1930 in Kentland on the family farm to the late Meddie and Romana (Cunningham) Sego. Lorraine was a 1948 graduate of A.J. Kent High School and attended St. Joseph grade school.

Lorraine was very active in the St. Joseph Catholic Church parish. She worked at Hopkins Electric for most of her life as a bookkeeper and sales clerk. Lorraine loved having her nieces and nephews over and always made sure cookies were available. She also enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, and watching the Chicago Cubs.

Surviving is a sister, Alice Silver of Fowler; sister-in-law, Patricia Sego of Kentland and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death along with her parents are five sisters, Mary K. Anstett, Theresa, Jeanette Voglund, Romana, and Martha Gretencord. Two brothers, Thomas Sego and Msgr Arthur A. Sego of Kentland.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM (CST) Monday, November 8, 2021 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland. Rosary Service to begin prior to visitation at 3:45 PM (CST). Funeral Mass 11:00 AM (CST) Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kentland. Fr. Robert Bernotas to officiate. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
