Marcia L. Stansbury

Marcia L. Stansbury, 77, of West Lafayette, passed away at her home at 8:20 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 with her family by her side.

  Marcia was born April 24, 1947 in Logansport to the late Robert and Lucille (Duff) Smith.  She was a 1965 graduate of Logansport High School and went on to earn her Associates Degree in Accounting from Indiana School of Business and Technology.

  Marcia had a vibrant and loving personality which she shared freely with everyone she met.  She showed others she cared through her warm smile and with a gentle touch.  Marcia was always full of positivity and a zest for life which she passed on to her children and grandchildren.  She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Christmas Eve with “Grammy” was a highlight and hosting family for the holidays was always special.  Above all, Marcia’s world revolved around her grandchildren and their school and sporting activities.  She cherished supporting them and watching them grow and succeed and was very proud of their accomplishments. 

  Marcia modeled her Christian faith through her service to others, especially by caring for others through her work at Comfort Keepers.  She also enjoyed the many friendships made at her previous jobs while working for EM Corporation (a subsidiary of Great Lakes Chemical) where she was a customer service supervisor and also for Egyptian Lacquer where she was the inside sales customer service liaison.

  Surviving are her children, Scott Stansbury (wife: Beth), Susan Eads (husband: Jack), Patti Blackburn, Elizabeth Lynn Parker and Laura House (husband: Kirk) and her grandchildren, Nathan, Olivia, Maggie, Mackenzie, Kennedy, Brock, Bryce, Campbell and Taylor.  

  A celebration of Marcia’s life will be held at Outpost Catering Hall (2501 Old US HWY 231 S, Lafayette, IN 47909) on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm EST.
