Marvin M. Carlson

Marvin M. "Rusty Finger" Carlson, 61, of Kentland, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on February 7, 2019. He was born February 26, 1957 in Rensselaer to Marcia (Chapman) Carlson. He was a graduate of South Newton High School.

His marriage was to Cherie Miller on November 15, 1975 in Kentland and they later divorced. Marvin was a life long resident of Newton County. He was a member of SASS and the NRA. Marvin worked for One Source until his retirement.

In his spare time, Marvin enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, camping, classic cars, and time spent with children and grandchildren.

Surviving along with his mother are two daughters, Melissa (husband: Mathiew) Chamberlain of Lafayette and Candice (husband: Rick) Ramon of Kentland, a sister Cathy Howell. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kylee, Mikko, Layla, Hayden, Athena, and his beloved dog Lucy.

Preceded in death by Estil and Eloise Chapman.

Friends may call from 10:00 am CST until the time of Memorial Service at 12 noon CST, Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Covenant Federated Church of Kentland.
