Marvin was an avid golfer, and enjoyed fishing, camping, water skiing, spending time with family, and never missed an opportunity to volunteer his time to friends or his community.  He enjoyed attending Tri-County Basketball games, Purdue games with his niece, Sheila Sutter, and rooting for the Cubs.

He was on the Remington Men’s Bowling League, played in a euchre group, played softball in his younger years, and attended the Lafayette Great Banquet.

In the summer, if going by Marvin and Vera’s house, in Remington, you would likely see them sitting in their swing enjoying watching the birds that he loved to feed and visiting with their neighbors or friends.

Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and other family members.  He loved family cook outs and get togethers.

He was employed by the Town of Remington and was the Water Works Superintendent for 30 plus years prior to retirement in 1996. He previously had worked at Crystal Dairy of Remington, and the Remington Farmers Elevator.
