Mary O. Beers

Mary O. Beers, 84, of Frankfort, formerly of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Wesley Manor of Frankfort surrounded by her family.

She was born March 9, 1938 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Shirlda Ann (Napier) Lewis. Her marriage of 19 years was to Harold Lee Beers and he passed away on May 1, 2011.

Mary worked as a seamstress at 5 Points of Lafayette and later cherished time spent at home raising her and Harold’s daughters. She enjoyed playing bingo and euchre, fishing, mushroom hunting, and keeping an immaculate home. Mary also loved cooking, baking and canning.

She is survived by her three daughters, Leshia A. Beers of Lafayette, Brenda M. Blanc of Lafayette, and Tammy L. Minardo also of Lafayette. Grandchildren, Michael McMillen, Kiernda Thomas, Maryann Thomas, Heath Thomas, Brittney Blanc ,T.J. (Nikita) Minardo, Krista Minardo, and Kaitlyn Lee. Great-grandchildren, Ciera, Alyssa, Frankie, Kylee, Autumn, William, Keira, Kaylee, Brooklyn, Brantley, Alexia, and Isaiah. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Preceding her in death along with her parents are siblings, Dott, Earl, Pat, CE, Polly, Virginia, Junior, Bob, and Dean.

Friends may call from 11 AM (EDT) until the time of Funeral Service 1 PM (EDT) Monday, June 6, 2022 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Interment to follow in Sandridge Cemetery of West Lafayette.
