Mary's Obituary
Mary V. Howe, 79, of Monticello, passed away at 9:50 am on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
She was born on April 2, 1945 in Pine Village, Indiana to the late Omar and Grace (Burton) Norfleet .
Her marriage was to Gary Wayne Howe on August 8, 1968 in Frankfort, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2015.
Mary was a member of the Zion Bethel Church in Monticello.
She worked as a homemaker and with her husband, Gary, they were involved in foster care for over 15 years.
Mary enjoyed and found peace watching the deer and birds through her picture window in her back yard.
She is survived by a son Terry Howe (wife Tawny) of Burnettsville and a daughter, Amber Wolf (husband David) of Alabama; sister, Genean Cobbs of Delphi; brother, Lillard Norfleet of Kentucky; six grandchildren, Garrett Howe (fiancé, Ivy) of Lafayette, Grace Jameson (husband, Danny) of Scottsdale, AZ, Gabe Howe (wife, Maddi) of Monticello, Graham Howe of Burnettsville, Megan Wolf of Alabama and Kevin Wolf (wife, Maddi) of Alabama.
Along with her loving husband and parents, Mary is preceded in death by two brothers, Wayburn and Aldolfus Norfleet.
Friends may call on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 2:30 pm until time of services celebrating Mary’s life at 3:30 pm at the Fred L. Miller Memorial Chapel of the Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home in Monticello.
Interment will follow at Riverview IOOF Cemetery in Monticello, Indiana
