Michael J. "Mike" Cundiff

Michael J Cundiff, 55, of West Lafayette, passed away peacefully at home early Saturday, August 19 surrounded by love. He fought an uphill battle against gallbladder cancer for 11 months but lost the battle far too soon. 

  Mike was a man with a huge heart, who has so many people who love him and will miss him for eternity. He was a magnet for kids and animals, would do anything he could for a friend in need, never turned away from a chance to make memories with loved ones, loved to travel and experience all of the things this world has to offer.

  Mike married Kelly R. Williams on March 3, 2018, in Lafayette; she survives.  It was a blessed 5 years full of love and laughter; they truly enjoyed each other’s company, their pets, their families, and the life they had together.  

  Mike is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Kelly; his mother, Cathy; a sister Michelle, and brother Matt; his children & stepchildren, Autumn Gregory (husband: Bill), Wesley Taylor, Haeleigh Moberly (husband: Tanner), Khameran Cundiff (fiancée: Olivia) Braden Williams (wife: Kalyn), Olivia Cundiff (life partner: Jimmie), Carrington Cundiff, Sophia Cundiff, Lukas Berninger, & Caelyn Berninger.  Also surviving are his grandchildren Quedyn, Aubryelle, Nevayah, Lucy, Naomi, Zakiah, and 2 on the way and a multitude of extended family. 

  Preceding him in death is his father James, a daughter MaKenna, and a grandchild Korbyn.  

  There will be a celebration of life at his home in West Lafayette on Saturday, September 9th, from 2pm to 8pm. All are welcome, please come as you are as we are not dress clothes type of people. Mike wanted us to do what he loved: cookout, laugh, reminisce about all of the wonderful memories and stupid things that made us laugh, and most importantly, tell your loved ones every day how much they matter, because life is too short, and tomorrow isn't guaranteed.
