Norma Ruffner

Norma L Ruffner, 87, of Rensselaer, passed away on August 6, 2024 at Brickyard Healthcare of Valparaiso, Indiana. She was born October 5, 1936 in Jasper County, IN to the late Frank and Cecil (Hall) Linback. 

Norma was a graduate of Gilboa High School. Her marriage was to Franklin Ruffner on September 3, 1955 in Crawfordsville. Franklin preceded her in death on April 14, 1981. 

She had worked at the coil factory in Goodland, Remington forge factory, Northway of Rensselaer, and Greens Furniture also of Rensselaer. 

Norma enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two children, Janet Ruffner Brook of Laramie, WY and John (Jean) Ruffner of Valparaiso. Siblings, Rose Plunkett of Carmel and Jim Linback of Rensselaer. Norma is also survived by her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

Preceding Norma in death along with her husband and parents are seven sisters and six brothers. 

A graveside committal service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 11:00 AM (CST) at Goodland Cemetery. Public is welcome to attend.
