Patricia P. Cottrell

Patricia P. Cottrell, 74, Monticello, passed away at 6:26 a.m., Thursday, September 12, 2024 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette.

  Pat was born November 28, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert and Nelma Pearse.  

Her marriage was to Jim D. Cottrell on June 15, 1985, at his parent’s home in Amboy, Indiana.

Pat was a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years working at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare, Chase Center Rehabilitation and Healthcare and Camelot Care Center working with pediatric patients.  Pat always loved taking care of others in need.

  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren Kaylen, Brayden, Khloe, Kendra, Brantley, Jonathan, Rachel and Catalina.

  Pat also enjoyed dirt track and stock car racing on Saturday nights, was an avid NASCAR Tony Stewart fan and loved her flower garden and plants in the yard.  Pat also enjoyed rooting against all the Dallas Cowboy fans in her house by rooting for the San Francisco 49ers.

  Pat loved being at home with her husband Jim and spending time with all her family at the house.  

Surviving with her husband Jim is their sons, Shawn Cottrell (significant other: Ashley) and Michael Cottrell (Dawn) of California and a brother, Billy Pearse of Columbus, Ohio.

  Preceding her in death with her parents is a grandson, Collin and her sister, Theresa Earl.
