Patsy's Obituary
Patsy Jane (Clark) Raver passed away peacefully June 27, 2023, at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello, IN.
Patsy was born September 12, 1931, in Logansport, IN to Harold Preston Clark and Florence Genevieve “Jenny” (Pippenger) Clark.
She graduated from Logansport High School in 1949 and from Indiana University in 1953, where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and Pi Lamda Theta Honorary.
After college Patsy was a social worker at the Logansport State Hospital until marriage. She and Earl Wayne Raver were married on February 19, 1956. She and Earl lived near Wabash, before moving in 1963 to Monon, where Earl worked for Star Farms. She worked for the North White School Corporation as a teacher and librarian and later became Director at the Monon Town and Township Public Library.
After retirement she was a Library Board member and very active in her church. She was a member of Tri Kappa philanthropic sorority at Lgansport, Wabash, and Monon; the Monon Current Literature Club, the Monon Civic Preservation Society, and the Monon United Methodist Church.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents and husband Earl (2015).
Surviving are children: Beth (David) Herr, Lafayette; Clark Raver (Nancy, (deceased)), Monon; and Tracy (Jeffrey) Hovarter, Battle Creek, MI. Grandchildren: Cheryl (Matt) Flora, Portage, MI.; Katie Raver, Jasper, AL., Toni (Stefan) Leslie, Indianapolis, Peri Raver, Monon; Emma Hovarter, Jackson, MI., Ben Hovarter, Jackson, MI. Great-grandchildren: Elijah and Libby Flora, Portage, MI.
Visitation will be at the Monon United Methodist Church from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, June 30, 2023. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am, Saturday, July 1,2023.
No flowers please, but Memorial contributions to the Monon Civic Preservation Society would be appreciated.
