Ralph's Obituary
Ralph William Byroad, Sr., 64, of Chalmers, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at IU Health White Memorial in Monticello. Born on February 29, 1960, in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Ralph William and Lois Zarse Byroad, Sr Ralph was a beloved member of his community.
Ralph graduated from North White High School in 1979 and served in the National Guard from 1978 to 1984.
His marriage was to Mary Ann Kesler on November 20, 2015 in Branson, Missouri. She survives in Chalmers, Indiana
He was employed at Claim Shield, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. Ralph had a passion for pugs, collecting clowns, and all kinds of treasures. He also enjoyed attending concerts, which brought him great joy.
Along with his lovely wife, Mary, Ralph is survived by his three children: Ralph William Byroad, III of Pennsylvania; Crystal Byroad Rush and her husband Corey of Alabama; and George Byroad and his wife Alicia of Portage, Indiana. He is also survived by his three stepchildren: Tausha Richard and her husband Brandon of Lafayette; Cory Edwards of Chalmers; and Chandice Brown of Lafayette. Ralph leaves behind three siblings: Patricia Hammond Tapia-Aguilar of Marion, Indiana; Dorothy Hancock and her husband James of Brooke; and Jennie Lee Byroad and her companion Randy Meyer of Colorado. He was a cherished uncle to 5 nieces and 3 nephews, and a loving grandfather to 6 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren.
Along with his parents his is preceded in death by, Jim Hammond.
In accordance with his wishes, services will be held privately.
