Rebecca's Obituary
Rebecca Anne Eckert, 47, of Monticello, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Born on June 4, 1977, she was the beloved daughter of Ronald and the late Glenda (Ball) Eckert. Her father, Ronald, survives her.
Rebecca attended Twin Lakes High School in Monticello and went on to work as a CNA in home healthcare, as well as a waitress. She was known for her amazing cooking skills and her love for attending concerts, going to the beach, painting her nails, getting her hair done, shopping, and taking drives.
She is survived by her companion of 20 years, Travis Hughes of Logansport, and her five children: Autumn Davis of Florida, Michael Fuguate of Lafayette, Shayden Massey of Lafayette, Havin Eckert, and Jewelianum Hughes of Logansport. Rebecca also leaves behind three siblings: Shawn Eckert of Flora, Rhonda Mellon (husband, Dan) of Buffalo, and Kristi Nelson of Indianapolis; her uncle, James Ball of Monticello; and 17 cherished grandchildren: River, Oakley, Mark, Casey, Natalie, MJ, Colton, Mason, Ryley, Zoe, Scarlett, Anthony, Arianna, Everleigh, Shayden II, Axel,and Leightion.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother, Glenda, and her sister, Tina Nicoll.
Friends may call from 2pm to 4pm on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Fred L. Miller Memorial Chapel at the Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home in Monticello to pay their respects and celebrate Rebecca's life.
