Richard L. "Rick" Galey

      Richard L. "Rick" Galey, 64 of Brookston, Indiana, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 9:40 p.m., in rural Brookston, Indiana.

      Rick was born on Thursday, September 11, 1958, in Lafayette to Robert "Bob" and Linda (Peterson) Galey.  They preceded him in death.

      Rick was born, raised, lived, and worked in the Tippecanoe and White County area his entire life.  He was known for all his grounds and greens keeping skills. Rick had worked and maintained several local area golf courses over the years.  He was well known at the Purdue Golf Course, Coyote Crossing, and several other.  Rick was part of the development team for the Harrison Crossing Golf Course in Attica, Indiana and was proud of it. He had a great passion for the game, but his biggest love was his grandchildren. Rick is gone too soon and known by many however he knew no stranger.

      Rick is survived by his family, he also enjoyed raising and caring for a daughter, Hannah (husband Daniel "Dan") Peterson, a son Michael Harris, his grandchildren, Aiden and Warren Peterson, and Jax Harris, special friend and ex-wife, Vickie A. Galey.

      Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Robert "Bob" and Linda (Peterson) Galey

      Private family services was held at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.

      Memorials may be given to the wishes of the donor in honor of Rick.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Indiana 47960, C/O Galey Family.
