Richard W. "Rick" Norwood

Richard W. "Rick" Norwood, 62, of Monticello, Indiana, passed away at 9:50 a.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at his residence with his family by his side.  

Rick was born on Sunday, June 12,1960, in Lafayette, Indiana, to the late Robert and Barbara (Shoaf) Norwood.

On Saturday, June 16, 1990, in Monticello, Indiana, he married Paula Blount; she survives.  
 

Gathering of Family and Friends will from 12:00 (noon) to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Monticello Christian Church, 105 Gordon Road, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.

 

Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at the Monticello Christian Church, 105 Gordon Road, Monticello, beginning at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, followed by  Celebration of Life Service with Rev. Keith Raderstorf officiating.  

 

Burial will be Private for the Family.

 

Memorials may be given to the Family.  Envelopes will be available at the Monticello Christian Church or can be mailed to the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home (c/o of Norwood Family),  6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.

Biographical Information:

   Rick was born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana. He had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, area for the past twenty plus years. Rick was a United States Air Force Veteran and PROUDLY served our country. He was an Inside Salesman for the Johnston Supply of Lafayette, Indiana, for several years. Rick was a member of the Faith Covenant Fellowship of Monticello, Indiana. He was an avid deer and turkey hunter and traveled all over the United States to hunt. Rick loved fishing with his son-in-law, Eli, and grandkids, Zion, and Isiah Norwood, Dallas, and Lancey Hoagland. He was known for teaching his grandkids and nephews about hunting and fishing. Rick especially loved spending time with his family and went to all of their school events. He was a huge Purdue University Basketball fan and Indianapolis Colts Football fan.

Laney Hoagland;
