Richy D. Williamson

Richy D. Williamson, 57, of Brookston, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 7, 2023. He was born April 1, 1966 in Lafayette to the late Dennis D. Williamson and Judith A. (Curbeaux) Brown. Richy was a 1984 graduate of Frontier High School where he excelled in football at the fullback position. 

Richy was employed with Milestone Contractors for over 25 years as a heavy equipment operator with Operators Union Local 103 and 841. He enjoyed fishing, boating on the river, racing, Indiana sports, avid Colts fan, men’s softball leagues, and pull tab machines. Most of all, Richy loved his family and was known as Papaw Richy to many. 

He is survived by his daughter, Erin Williamson of Carmel; sister, Jessica (Steve) Overman of Monticello, nephew, Tyler Austin of Monticello, and niece, Jaleza Speer

Preceding him in death along with his parents is a sister, Jennifer Speer and niece, Jerrica Speer.

Friends may call from 1-4 PM (EST) Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Please come in your casual attire, Colts or Purdue gear in celebration of Richy.
