Ronald's Obituary
Ronald L. Powell, 86, of Monticello, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, October 19, 2026. Born on October 4, 1940, in Logansport to the late Ulysses and Nedra (Beck) Powell, Ron proudly served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. He married Marsy Beasy on July 17, 1966, and she preceded him in death on February 5, 2017.
Ron was a long-time member of Hillcrest Baptist Church of Logansport. He dedicated 30 years of his career to RCA of Monticello until its closing and eventually retired from Peters Revington Furniture of Delphi. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and devoting time to jail ministries.
He is survived by his two children, Troy (Barb) Powell of Monticello and Teresa (John) Acuff of Logansport, as well as his grandchildren, Brandon Powell, CJ Powell, Tim Powell, April Alma, and Kyle Powell. Preceding him in death along with his wife and parents is a brother, Jerry Powell.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home of Monticello. Interment will follow in IOOF Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of floral arrangements, contributions may be directed to the family to help offset expenses.
