Ruth L. Gramman

Ruth Lucille Gramman, 96, of Cumberland Pointe, West Lafayette, died May 17, 2024.

  She was born August 29, 1927 in Kentland, Indiana to the late Bruce & Mary (Fitzgerald) Williams.  Ruth graduated from A.J. Kent High School in 1945.

  Her marriage of 62 years was to Alvin A. Gramman on April 4, 1945 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kentland.  Alvin preceded her in death on February 28, 2008.

  Mrs. Gramman worked for Edward J. Funk & Sons as office manager for many years.  Prior to that, she worked for Huber Ranch Sod Nursery in Schneider, Indiana until retiring.

  Ruth was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kentland and the American Legion Auxiliary in Kentland.

  Surviving are three sons, Daniel Gramman of Mulberry, FL, Kevin (Sheryl) Gramman of Omaha, NE, and William (Sharon) Gramman of Hubert, NC and a daughter, Ruth (Robert) Slavens of Kentland.  Ruth loved spending time with her family, especially her 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

  Preceding her in death is a son, Edward Gramman; a granddaughter, Deborah Gramman; four sisters and five brothers.

  Friends may call from 10 a.m. (CST) until the time of funeral mass at 11 a.m. (CST) Friday, May 24, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kentland; Fr. Sean Aaron to officiate.  Interment to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Kentland.
