Sandra's Obituary

Sandra L Dyer, 60, of Wabash, Indiana (formerly of Kentland) passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Sandra was born on May 4, 1965, in Brook, Indiana.  She was the daughter of the late Edward and Joan (Laffoon) Madison. Sandra was a 1984 graduate of South Newton High School.

Sandra lived a life full of hard work and heart working a diverse career at the Filling Station restaurant in Kentland; in Environmental Services at the Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, IL; and as an Assistant Manager in Environmental Services at the Autumn Ridge Nursing Home in Wabash, IN. Sandra graduated from Cosmetology school and had worked for several years in this profession while living in Kentland. Sandra found joy in the simple, beautiful things in life such as working in her yard, creating crafts, listening to music, and writing poetry. She had a special love for her two dogs and cat. Above all, Sandra will be remembered for  her love to others, her radiant smile, her quick wit and humor, her determination, and her incredible strength. We will miss her dearly.

Sandra leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her daughters, Brandi (Caleb) Mann of Oxford, IN and Mandy Johnson of Wabash, IN; her siblings, Linda Eilers of Sheldon, IL; Steven (Kay) Madison of Brook, IN; Brenda (Stephen) Lewis of Chillicothe, IL; her significant other, Jerry Shallenberger of Wabash, IN; and her precious grandsons, Luke and Mason Mann. Sandra was also a beloved Aunt with many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life/visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm (CST) on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home in Kentland, Indiana.

Sandra will be deeply missed and forever loved. This is not goodbye, but see you again, as we trust in God's promise of eternal life and reunion in heaven.
