Shannon Renee Hefner

Shannon Renee Hefner,55, of Yeoman, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 9:15 pm on May 6, 2025, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. Born on January 22, 1970, in Washington, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Patricia (Gregory) Krug. Shannon was married to Darren Hefner on November 17, 2011, in Carroll County, Indiana, and he survives her in Yeoman.

Shannon had a passion for music, concerts, and card games, and she had a particular fondness for lighthouses. She was an avid traveler, having visited 49 states, including Hawaii, with her husband Darren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Darren, and her three sons, Nathan, Joshua, and Ryan Simons, all residing in Monticello. She also leaves behind four stepchildren: Krystina Hefner of Arkansas, Isabella Lombardo of Kentucky, Ben Hefner of Patten, and Darren Hefner, Jr. of Flora, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Willow O'Neil.

The family is planning a Celebration of Shannon's life, with service details to be updated closer to the date.
