Shirley J. Essenberg

Shirley J. Essenberg, 87, of Watseka, IL, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Riverside Medical Center of Kankakee, IL.

She was born November 5, 1935 in Roseland, IL to the late Garret and Peggy (James) Essenberg. Shirley was a graduate of Fenger High School of Roseland, IL.

Her marriage was to Paul A. Schuster; she later married Joe Quiroz.

Shirley worked several years at Independent Foresters Insurance Agency and sold vehicles for Bauer Buick of Hammond, IN. She was an avid artist, specifically painting, sculpture, and charcoal drawings. Shirley also enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas over the years.

She is survived by her children, Karen Dvorak (Robert) of Kentland and Jeffery A. Schuster of Hammond, IN. Grandchildren, Michael E. Rose, Katherine L. Rose, and Andrew A. Rose. Great-grandchildren, Olivia, Arjae, Summer, Keana, Gabrella, Camdyn, and T.J.

Preceding her in death along with her parents is a son, Keith D. Schuster and brother, Garret Essenberg.
