Thelma Bryant

Thelma Bryant, 93, of Remington, Passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at White Oak Health Campus of Monticello. She was born August 7, 1929 in Starke County to the late William and Alean (Lakin) McElfresh. Thelma was a 1947 graduate of Remington High School.

Her marriage was to Robert “Bob” Bryant on June 18, 1950; Bob preceded her in death in 2001.

Thelma managed food operations for 25 years at Tri-County School Corporation until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the Jasper County Home EC Club for 45 years. She was also a member of the Remington American Legion and Women’s Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter, Roberta (husband: Dale) Greenbank of Remington. Thelma cherished time spent with her 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her husband and parents are a son, Robert Bryant; siblings, Pat Merritt and William McElfresh.

Friends may call from 10 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 12 PM (EST) Friday, May 5, 2023 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington. Interment to follow in Remington Cemetery. Dan Stoller of Kentland to officiate.
