Tony K. Myers

Tony K. Myers, 82, of Remington, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

He was born May 28, 1940 in Louispille, IL to the late Francis "Romaine" and Charlene (Kaisor) Myers. Tony was a 1958 graduate of Morocco High School.

His first marriage was to Judith Parker on February 17, 1962 in Newton County and she preceded him in death. He later married Judy Turnpaugh on July 26, 2008 and she also preceded him in death.

Tony was a member of Sons of the American Legion Post 280. He drove a truck for L&M Trucking of Remington in the 1960’s, Jenkins & Nagel Trucking of Wolcott in 1967-1971 then managed their parts department until 1979, Boren Mack Sales and Remington Oil Company from 1977 – 1980, Sam Young Trucking from 1980 – 1986. Tony was also a parts salesman for Rowe Trucking from 1996 until his retirement in 2010.

Tony is survived by his children, Beverly (Robin) Buschman of Remington, Gary (Jennifer) Myers of Wolcott, and David Myers of Remington. 6 siblings, Jo (George) Antcliff of Wimauma, FL, Terri (Neal) Beier of Lake Village, IN, Rick (Gail) Myers of St. Joseph, MI, Vance Myers of Kentland, IN, Jill (Jim) Bridges of Long Boat Key, FL, Bruce Myers of Arlington, VA, and sister-in-law, Jo Myers of Morocco, IN. Tony is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Cole and Callie Buschman, Tyler, Josh, Kyle, Mackinley, and Jaden Myers, and Kaleb Pritchett; 4 great-grandchildren, Landon, Elizabeth, Amelia, and Emberleigh.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Charlene Myers; wives, Judy Parker and Judy Turnpaugh; brother, Mike Myers.

Friends may call from 4-6 PM (EDT) Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the Remington United Methodist Church. Memorial Service will follow visitation hours at 6:30 PM (EDT).

Memorial contributions may be made in Tony’s name to the American Legion Post 280 Remington or the American Cancer Society.
