Tonya Sue Foster

Tonya Sue Foster, 57, of Delphi, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 1, 2025 at her home. She was born June 29, 1968 in Lafayette, IN to the late Ruby Lee (Qualls) Smith.

Tonya was a graduate of Frankfort High School and later received her certification from Lafayette Beauty Academy as a nail technician.

Her marriage was to James Foster on May 19, 2001 in the First Apostolic Church of Delphi.

Tonya owned and operated her own mobile nail technician business for several years. She enjoyed the lifelong friendships made traveling to client’s homes. She would also work for Frito-Lay of Frankfort for 9 years and where she would meet her husband, James.

Tonya loved working on puzzles, baking and was a talented pianist. She had an artistic ability and enjoyed arranging diaper cakes for baby showers along with many other crafts.

Surviving along with her husband James of 24 years are two sons, Joe (Shawna) Foster and Justin (Hannah Carbaugh) Foster. Tonya is also survived by her grandson, Leo Foster.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby (Qualls) Smith.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of Funeral Service 1:00 PM Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Interment to follow in IOOF Memorial Gardens of Pittsburg.
