Victor William "Vic" Harbour

Victor W. "Vic" Harbour, 83, of Winamac, Indiana died peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 6:00 a.m. in his residence.

Victor was born on Saturday, August 12, 1939, in St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana to William B. Harbour and Jane Saunders. They preceded him in death.

On September 7, 1985, in Merrillville, Indiana, he married Katherine A. (Hornbeak) Hartman. She survives.

Vic spent most of his life in North Hammond, Indiana.  He was a United State Navy Veteran serving his country proudly from 1956 to 1962. Vic was also proud to had worked as a Union Meat Cutter for the local 546 out of Hammond, Indiana.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his own little piece of heaven at home.    

Victor is survived by his wife Katherine Harbour of Winamac, Indiana, stepdaughters, Mary (husband Jim) Reed of Portage, Indiana, Donna Jo (Wife Donna) Hartman of Ball, Louisiana, stepson, Todd E. (Husband Dan) Hartman of Griffith, Indiana, and grandchildren, Rebecca Upchurch and Jaimee Reed and great granddaughter, Madison Reed, sister, Sally Gabor of Florida, Niece, Amy.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, William B. and Jane (Saunders) Horner, Son, Todd V. Harbour. 

A Private Celebration of Victor's Life will be conducted by and for the family.

Memorial donations may be given to the wishes of the donor.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Indiana 47960 C/O Harbour Family.
