Virginia “Cookie” L. Webster, 70, of Brookston, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at IU Health Hospital of Lafayette.
She was born June 9, 1948 in Lafayette to the late Joseph A. and Esther C. (Nufer) Norris. She was the last graduating class from Klondike High School in 1966.
Cookie was employed with the Indiana Veterans Home for 38 years until her retirement. While at IVH she was a CNA, QMA, Pharmacy Buyer, and eventually Central Supply Supervisor. Cookie loved spending time with her pets, espically her cats through the years.
Surviving are two children, Joe (wife: Bev) Webster of West Lafayette, and Sami Goodman of Lafayette; sister, Edith Morehouse of Lafayette; grandchildren, Alicia, Sadi, Jake, and Will. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death along with her parents are sisters, Betty, Norma, and Helen.
A visitation will be held from 2-5 PM (EST) Friday, October 19, 2018 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. A private service and inurnment will take place at a later date at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Virginia’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
