William's Obituary
William “Cody” Dunn, 33, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2025, at 8:47 p.m. at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, following a severe stroke; Cody had battled heart conditions for several years.
Born September 3, 1991, in Lafayette, Cody was raised in a loving home by his parents, Ron and Becky Holladay. He earned his GED from Harrison High School and went on to build a successful life marked by his artistic talent, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering compassion for others. He owned and operated Ephemeral Extractions, a tree trimming and landscaping business, alongside his best friend and business partner, Abe Stine.
A free spirit who often said he “lived and moved freely with the universe,” Cody embraced new experiences with open arms. His kindness knew no bounds; he possessed a remarkable ability to find those in need and selflessly offer support, whether it was his last dollar or a place to stay for those struggling to get back on their feet. His non-judgmental nature and generous heart touched countless lives.
Cody’s artistic talents shone brightly. An accomplished musician, he wrote, played (mastering every type of guitar), and sang his music, proudly performing with the Barney Muggers Street Band. His creative energy also extended to tattoo artistry, where he created hundreds of works of art on friends, clients, and himself. His artistic expression also found outlet in his paintings, a further testament to his multifaceted creativity.
Cody is survived by his loving parents, Ron and Becky Holladay of Lafayette; his brother, Montana Dunn (wife: Michaela) of Battle Ground; his longtime companion, Jessica Beavers; two cherished nieces, Adrianna and Khloe; his beloved best bud, Zoe; his ride-or-die brother, Abe Stine; his aunt, Jackie Diaz; uncles Kirby Norwood and Rich Holladay; and several cousins. Cody is also survived by his dogs, Alvarez and D.B. (Dolla Bill).
He was preceded in death by his brother, Cameron Dunn; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Edith Norwood; his paternal great-grandmother, Bernice “Ben” Benjamin; his uncle, Ralph Norwood; his aunt and uncle, Connie and Keith Hall; his aunt, Christine Miller; and cousin, Cabrielle Ubehlor.
