William "Bill" Kerr

William “Bill” Kerr, 60, of Lafayette, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at his home. He was born July 10, 1963 in Lafayette, IN to Willard “Hank” and Karolyn “June” (Uselton) Kerr. Bill was a 1981 graduate of Frontier High School. 

Bill was a machinist CNC Operator working at Fairfield and Proaxis both of Lafayette and Zook of Brookston. He enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycles, and loved his pets. 

Special thank you to Katie, Josh, and Gardenia for their care and compassion given to Bill in his final hours in the comfort of his home.

Bill is survived by his parents, Hank and June Kerr; daughter, Cassie Kerr of Raleigh, NC; ex-wife, Tammy Kerr; sister, Debby Kerr Summers of Lafayette. He is also survived by niece, Katie and nephew, Josh and beloved dog, Peanut.

He is preceded in death by siblings, Cynthia Kerr Kelly and Dale Kerr; nephew, Casey Summers. 

Friends may call from 1:00 PM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 2:00 PM (EST) Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Interment to follow in Brookston Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s name to Natalies Second Chance or NAMI National Alliance on Mental Illness.
