It is with profound sadness, yet with deep gratitude for a life beautifully and honorably lived, that we announce the passing of our beloved father, William Lloyd Springer, of Brookston, Indiana. Born on November 9, 1942, he departed this earthly life peacefully on October 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, honest labor, and enduring love.
Mr. Springer was a gentleman of great strength and few words, choosing instead to speak through his actions. Throughout his days, he labored tirelessly to provide a secure and abundant life for the family he cherished above all else. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Springer, to whom he was joined in a marriage that stood as a testament to steadfast fidelity. He loved his bride with a depth that served as a noble pattern for generations to follow. Though he did not often voice to his affections, his family never had cause to wonder where they stood in his regard; his devotion was felt daily in his selflessness and the sacrifices he willingly made to aid his kin.
Beyond his magnificent work ethic, he possessed a rare and delightful wit, ever ready to bring laughter and light to those around him. He leaves behind a rich heritage of joy, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to his household.
His memory shall be treasured evermore by his devoted children: MaryAnn Liphard and her spouse, Bob Liphard; Alan R. Springer; Michael Springer; and John Springer and his spouse, Brenda Springer.
His legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Brittany Fewell and her spouse, Frederick Fewell; Keshia Piercefield; Amber Curwick and her spouse, Zachary Curwick; Scott Springer; Brooke Henderson and her spouse, Kyle Henderson; Ashlyn Springer-Pride; Nicole Mikels and her spouse, Keifer Mikels; Nathan Springer; Kaitlyn Springer; Karissa Springer; Kyle Springer; and Molly Springer and her spouse. He was further blessed with many adoring great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his later years. He shall be missed right dearly by his family, and all who had the privilege of walking alongside him, yet his spirit shall endure in our hearts forevermore.
Private graveside services will be held for the family. In honor of his memory, let us carry forward his lessons of hard work, laughter, and quiet devotion.
