Zepheriah's Obituary
Zepheriah L. Bickett, 31, of Brookston, passed away unexpectedly at 10:13 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2024.
Zeph was born June 24, 1992 in Lafayette to the late Bryan “Todd” Bickett and Brenda K. (Thomas) Bickett. He was a multi-sport athlete at Tri-County High School where he played football, baseball and track, where he was a pole vaulter, graduating in 2011.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Zeph joined the Pipefitters Union Local 157 of Terre Haute. He quickly became a journeyman working at Frito Lay, SIA and Purdue. Zeph was an outstanding pipefitter who had an outgoing personality and was a joy to be around. It was fun to see what gestures he would use when interacting with others. He was currently employed with Fluid Technologies in Brookston.
Zeph was an avid dirt bike rider and enjoyed everything Motocross. He loved being outdoors and tinkering in his garage working on dirt bikes. Zeph enjoyed fishing, swimming, floating and boating – really anything water. One of his favorite things was hanging with his buddies playing pool at the Lear’s Man Cave.
The light of his life was his son Brode. Zeph loved spending time with Brode, teaching him about Motocross and bikes. They loved building racetracks and monster truck ramps. More than anything, he just loved watching Brode grow up and spending time just being his dad.
Surviving with Zeph’s son, Brode (mother – Marke), is Zeph’s mother; Brenda Bickett of Brookston; his brothers, Zachery Bickett (Courtney) of Fishers, Zeberiah Bickett (Rachel) of W. Terre Haute, Zedekiah Bickett of Kalamazoo, MI and Zeph's girlfriend, Chelsey Callis of Lafayette. Also surviving are his special nieces and nephews, Leila, Finlee, Kelly, Nora, Elsie and Willow Mae. He is also survived by many wonderful neighbors and friends.
Zeph is preceded in death by his father, Todd; his paternal grandpa, Clarence Bickett; his paternal grandma and step-grandfather, Jerry & Leland Mallory and his maternal grandparents, Joe & Ynema Thomas.
To honor Zeph, friends may call from 12 p.m. (noon) until the time of his funeral service at 1 p.m. (EST) Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the family home located at 8129 South 1000 West Brookston, IN 47923.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be made to the Zeph Bickett Memorial Fund to be used for future support of Brode.
