Obituary
Ronald “Ron” L. Maple Sr., 74, of Monon, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at the Indiana Veterans Home of West Lafayette. He was born March 29, 1950 in Lafayette to the late Ralph Sr. and Mary (Mc Daniel) Maple. Ron proudly served in the United States Army from 1973 until his honorable discharge in 1977.
His marriage was to Vickie Reed on May 5, 1973 in Monon and she survives. Ron loved the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
Surviving along with his wife, are their children, Ron Maple Jr. (Sarah) of Wisconsin, Rhonda Koch (Carl) of Tennessee, and Robert Maple (Joyce) of Monon. Siblings, Ralph Maple Jr. (Edith) and Louanne Hulbert (Gary). Ron is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death along with parents are two siblings, Bill Maple and Linda Watson.
Per Ron’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
