Roger “Bud” Lee Karlstrand 76 of Brookston, IN went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2018 at St. Franciscan Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. He was married to Janet Bisner Karlstrand on May 24, 1964 in Rainsville, IN. They have two sons, Rodney Louis (Cathy) Karlstrand and David Wayne Karlstrand. Grandchildren Amanda (Dustin) Furr, Kayla (Derrick) Mitchell of Lafayette, Riley Karlstrand of Morristown, NJ and Michelle Swanson of Pleasant Prairie, WI and 6 Great grandchildren.
He proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corp and retired from Eli Lilly after 30 years.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, David and Florence Karlstrand, brothers, Richard and Louis Foust, and brother in-law Thomas Bisner.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking, attending auctions and collecting diecast tractors and trucks.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12 p.m. (Noon) Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston; Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds to officiate. Interment with military rites to follow in Rainsville Cemetery.
