David Schwamberger, 66, of Brookston, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 15, 2017 at his residence in Brookston.

He was born January 31, 1951 in Lafayette to the late Elmer D. and Vera E. (Wilson) Schwamberger. He was a 1969 graduate of Frontier High School.

Dave served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer, he was stationed in Ft. Benning, GA and Ft. Campbell, KY until his Honorable Discharge.

Dave farmed grain all his life in the Brookston area until his retirement at the end of harvest 2016. When he was not working in the fields, Dave enjoyed spending his time socializing with friends and family.

He is survived by his sister, Constance “Connie” (husband: Bob) Hines of Brookston.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Elmer and Vera Schwamberger.

Friends may call from 9 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 11 AM (EST) Friday, September 22, 2017 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds to officiate. Private entombment at a later date at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens of West Lafayette.
